Yes, in Canvas. When you rename a quiz or exam in a course linked to Canvas, the matching Canvas assignment and its gradebook column get the new name automatically, usually within a few minutes. You do not need to sync anything, rename it again in Canvas, or add the quiz to your course again.
In another LMS, check the assignment name there after renaming, and rename it in the LMS if it has not changed.

Open the quiz or exam from Assessments in the course sidebar and go to its Setup tab.
Change the Title in the Assessment information section.
Select Save setup (it also appears in the banner at the bottom of the page once you change a field).

The name only travels one way
Blended Teaching updates your LMS. Your LMS does not update Blended Teaching.
If you rename the assignment directly in your LMS, Blended Teaching keeps its own name. The next time you rename the quiz in Blended Teaching, it replaces the name you typed in your LMS. To keep both names the same, always rename in Blended Teaching.
When the name does not update
The name stays the same in your LMS if:
Your course is not linked to an LMS. If you added the quiz to your LMS yourself, rename it there as well.
The course has ended in your LMS. Once a course is concluded, the LMS stops accepting changes from Blended Teaching.
The quiz is not in your LMS yet. When you add it, it uses the current name.
It is a practice assessment that is not graded in your LMS. It has no gradebook column, so the item in your LMS keeps the name it had when you added it.
If none of these apply and the name has not changed after a few minutes, select Save setup again in a Canvas course to resend it. If it still does not change, see How do I get help? and we will fix it.
