If your exam uses Respondus LockDown Browser and you have not set up your Blended Teaching access and enrolled yet, you will not be able to set it up from inside LockDown Browser. Setting up access takes a couple of minutes, and only needs doing once for your course.

1. Why This Happens
Respondus LockDown Browser locks your screen to the exam itself and keeps every other page closed while the exam is running. That is what makes it a secure exam environment.
It also means the pages used to set up your Blended Teaching access stay closed. Creating your account, paying by card or entering a bookstore access code, and enrolling in your class materials all happen on those pages, so they cannot be completed inside LockDown Browser.
The fix is to set your access up outside LockDown Browser. There are two ways to do that, below.
2. Option 1: Finish Setting Up in Your Normal Browser
This is the simplest route, and the one to use if you only have one device.
Close LockDown Browser, following whatever your instructor or proctor has asked you to do about leaving the exam.
Open your usual browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox) and sign in to your university learning management system, such as Canvas or Blackboard.
Go to your course and click on any of the Blended Teaching materials, or on the link titled '👉 Click Here to Set Up Access to Your Digital Textbook 👈'.
Follow the steps to create your account, pay by card or with a bookstore access code, and enroll in your class materials.
Once you see the confirmation that your access is set up, reopen LockDown Browser and start your exam.
3. Option 2: Finish Setting Up on Another Device
Use this route if you would rather not close the exam on your computer. Any second device works: a phone, a tablet or another computer.
On the second device, open its normal browser and sign in to your university learning management system.
Go to your course and click on the link titled '👉 Click Here to Set Up Access to Your Digital Textbook 👈', or on any of the Blended Teaching materials.
Follow the same steps: create your account, pay by card or with a bookstore access code, and enroll in your class materials.
Your access is live as soon as you finish. Go back to your exam computer and refresh the assessment.
If your exam has already started, check with your instructor or proctor before you relaunch it, so they know why you were delayed.
4. Setting Up Before Exam Day
The smoothest route is to set your access up the first time you open any Blended Teaching material in your course, well ahead of your first proctored exam. Once it is done, LockDown Browser opens straight into your assessment on the day.
