Blended Teaching shares your video progress and your assessment results with your instructor and your university. You can see the same numbers yourself on your Course Dashboard. To open it, select Course Dashboard at the top of your classbook or chapter, or the chart icon in the reading toolbar. This article covers:

Your course progress is the share of the course's videos you have completed. A video counts as complete once you have watched 80% of it, and skipping ahead doesn't count as watching. We also show your Total Time Watched and how many modules you have completed.

Progress only counts video watching. These don't count toward it:

To see your progress, select Course Dashboard at the top of your classbook or chapter (or the chart icon in the reading toolbar), then select View learning progress on the Progress tile. Your instructor sees exactly the same numbers. Progress updates with a delay of about 10 minutes. For more, see Where can I see my course progress?

Practice quizzes and mock exams are like graded quizzes, but their scores never count toward your grade. Your results are available to you and your instructor. You'll find them on the Practice Assessments page: open your Course Dashboard and select View practice quiz details on the Practice Assessments tile.

Many chapters also include their own practice questions and a knowledge check. For each of these, your instructor's Student Progress page shows the share of students who have attempted it at least once.

The results of graded quizzes and exams are available to you and your instructor. You'll find them on the Grades page: open your Course Dashboard and select View all grades & results on the Grades & Results tile. Results are grouped into Exams, Quizzes and Assignments.

Your instructor decides when results are released and how much feedback you see. Until then, an assessment shows Results not yet available. In a Canvas or Blackboard course that is connected to Blended Teaching, your scores are also sent to your course gradebook in your LMS.

The results of graded assignments are available to you and your instructor. They're on the same Grades page, under Assignments. How much feedback you get depends on the settings your instructor chooses.

When you enroll through your LMS, you check the I consent to my progress data being shared box. This agrees that your progress data, such as quiz results, is shared with your institution in compliance with FERPA. You can't enroll through your LMS without it.

If you're using your course on free access, graded work you submit counts as submitted, but its grade is held until you redeem your access code or buy access. Your instructor can't see held grades either. Practice scores are never held. For more, see Getting into your course before your access code arrives.

You're here to learn, and your instructor is here to help you do that. Data on what you've mastered and what you're finding hard helps you both spend your time where it matters.

The goal is for you to spend the time you need to understand the concepts, without wasting time on what you already know.
