If you need to give extra time, extra attempts or extend the deadline for a students, here's how you do it in the Blended Teaching Control Center.
1. Extra Time
There are two methods for providing extra time for timed assessments:
Globally - for all assessments relating to one student.
Per assessment - for one assessment relating to one student.
1.1. Global Extra Time
To provide Global Extra Time for a student for all timed assessments is:
Go to the Quizzes tab in the Control Center
Pick any assessment, it doesn't matter which one, and go to the right hand side of the assessment, click on the 3 dots to open up the drop-down menu, and select Moderate.
Find the relevant student from the list and click on the 3 dots on the far right hand side to open up the drop-down menu, and select Global Accommodations.
Add the amount of extra time (as a percentage, or in terms of minutes and hours) you would like to provide for all timed assessments.
1.2. Extra Time for One Assessment
The setting for providing extra time for one student for one assessment is found in the moderate page of any assessment.
To provide Extra Time for a student for a single assessment:
Go to the Quizzes tab in the Control Center
Pick the relevant assessment for which you'd like to add time, go to the right hand side of the assessment, click on the 3 dots to open up the drop-down menu and select Moderate.

Add the amount of extra time (as a percentage, or in terms of minutes and hours) you would like to provide for this assessment.
2. Extra Attempts
The setting for providing an extra attempt for one student for one assessment is found in the Moderate page of any assessment.
To provide an extra attempt a student for a single assessment:

3. Extending Deadlines
You can provide Deadline Extensions for one assessment, or globally. When you extend a deadline, it extends both the Due Date and the End Date by the same period.
3.1 Global Deadline Extension
To extend the deadline for all assessments for one student:
Go to the Quizzes tab in the Control Center
Pick any assessment, click on the 3 dots to the right and select Moderate.
Find the relevant student from the list, click the 3 dots on the right and select Global Accommodations.
Add in the Additional Days for Due/End Dates in number of days.
3.2 Deadline Extension for One Assessment

Go to the Quizzes tab in the Control Center
Pick any assessment, click on the 3 dots to the right and select Moderate.
Find the relevant student from the list, click the 3 dots on the right and select Quiz-level Accommodations.
Add in the Additional Days for Due/End Dates in number of days.
4. Allowing Late Submissions
You may want to allow students to submit assignments after the due date, but penalize them for being late.
To allow late submissions:
Go to the Quizzes tab in your Control Center.
Find the relevant assessment from the list, click on the name of the assessment.
Scan down until you find the section called Availability.
Here you can change the Start Date, Due Date and End Date.
The Due Date is the date until which an attempt can be submitted and be considered on time.
The End Date is the date until which a student can submit an attempt at the assessment.
The End Date must be after the Due Date for you to allow late submissions.
Once you've set the End Date after the Due Date, you will be asked to provide a Late Submission Penalty (%), which is applied against the student grade.
e.g. If a students scores 80% in the assessment, but you have applied a 20% penalty, their grade will be 80% x (1- 20%) = 64%.
If you don't want to apply a penalty, set this to 0%.
Then click the Save button.
