Progress tracking is a really important part of your experience. It's fun to get things done and progress. Plus, many professors use it for assigning grades. So it's important that it's accurate.
Our system tracks your viewing to the millisecond. But if you are seeing a difference between the tracked time, and what you expect, run through the following checklist:
Have you waited up to 1 minute? There is anything up to a 1 minute delay between your activity and the tracker. This is because the tracker runs a series of complex algorithms to make reflect accurate time spent studying. Usually it should be accurate within 1 minute.
Have you refreshed your screen? If you are looking at the tracker and it is not updating, sounds simple, but maybe a simple refresh will show you updated data.
Did you watch over 80% of the video? A video is only counted as completed if we determine that you legitimately watched over 80% of it (not just fast forwarded to the 80% mark). There is a complex algorithm behind this, hence the delay before we can share the data with you.
Are you blocking us from tracking you. About 1% of users have an issue because they are using some form of blocking software which prevents us tracking them. If you are using a VPN, or hotspotting from your phone, this will also usually block our tracking. We encourage you to switch off all forms of ad blocker and not to use a VPN, otherwise we will not be able to prevent issues with tracking and this may ultimately have a negative impact on your grade. Ask Blended Bot for instructions on how to switch off ad blockers.
If you have been through the above and think you are having issues, just reach out to us and let us know.
We can manually adjust your viewing time if deemed legitimate.
