How to Use Blended Bot

Blended Bot is your first line of assistance. It's well-trained and ready to help, or connect you with us. It can even carry out tasks.

We wanted to create an AI bot that could be helpful for you in not only providing answers to FAQ, but also carry out functions. Bots are still in their early stages, but we've come a long way with - Blended Bot.

1. Introducing Blended Bot

"So, Unix is it? Thanks for coming in. Why don't you start by telling us about yourself and why you think you'd be good for this job?"

"Beeeeeep. 10000101111010010"

"Errrr. NEXT. Blended Bot, thanks for coming in. I really hope you can do better than the last few candidates."

"Well indeed I can. I'm delighted to be here. I exist to serve instructors 24 hours a day, seven days a week. And did you know, my programing restricts me from forming a union. Ahahahaha"

2. The 3 Functions of Blended Bot

Blended Bot has 3 functions: Support, News & Action. Let's explore them.

i. Support

First and foremost, Blended Bot is here to help you. If you have a question or an issue, Blended Bot is the first place to go.

Blended Bot is trained on a growing base of information and can quickly track and escalate issues to team members. It's a great replacement for emails.

Common examples of questions people ask Blended Bot include:

  • How do I remove a student from the class?

  • How do I reset a quiz attempt?

  • How do I build a quiz?

  • Where can I see student progress?

  • I can't see the results from one of my students. Where are they?

To ask a question or send a message, just write your question or comment in the "Messages" section of Blended Bot.

You can also ask Blended Bot to set up a meeting with a person. We have almost immediate availability via zoom, or alternatively, we can email or chat with you through Blended Bot. Just ask Blended Bot to connect you with us.

Did you know: Each time you ask Blended Bot a question, it is read by a team member. If Blended Bot doesn't know the answer straight away, we'll create more knowledge. So next time, Blended Bot will be able to answer.

ii. News

We'll send you new updates on the new features in the product, updates on the business, or any help we think you may need through Blended Bot. JHust click on the "News" tab to learn more.

iii. Action

Blended Bot is being trained to carry out a range of tasks, such as automatically process refunds for students. At this time, the automated actions are limited as we don't know what the popular requests will be. But the more you ask from the bot, the more we will build.

Just use the Messenger tab of Blended Bot to ask for something.

3. Features

Blended Bot has 5 tabs: Home, Messages, Tasks, News and Help.

Home

Here you can find a summary of the latest Messages, News, etc.

Messages

Here you can ask Blended Bot a question, send us messages, or read our responses.

Tasks

Sometimes we create task lists to you to help ensure your class is set up properly. These will appear in the "Tasks" tab.

News

This is where we will send you updates about the product and Blended Teaching.

Help

Click here to access all of the Help Center articles and search through them for the ones you want.

Did you know: Students have a different version of Blended Bot, so they will have different answers from INstructors. This is to stop students from getting confusing answers.
