Downloadable Textbook Notes

Throughout Blended Teaching are written summaries of the videos. All of the notes are downloadable, if your instructor permits it.

Updated over 2 months ago

Blended Teaching is designed for you to study through both videos and text. This article introduces you to Chapter Notes, where you can find them and what to expect, including:

  1. Introducing Notes

  2. Where Are The Notes

  3. Downloading Chapter Notes

1. Introducing Notes

A typical Blended Teaching textbook is a combination of text and video. Some learners prefer to listen and watch, and some prefer to read. We cover all options.

Each video includes written notes. The videos tend to go into a little more detail in some areas, but the notes cover the key information required for learning.

You won't get the full experience if you just read the Notes alone, but you'll get 90% of it, and certainly what you need.

2. Where Are The Notes

The Notes are included alongside the videos. In some rare cases, you will find that specific chapters only have Notes, and no videos.

3. Downloading Chapter Notes

You can compile the Notes for a Chapter into a single document that we call Chapter Notes. You can download them as a Word file, or as a PDF. They are available for each chapter. They are helpful for studying from, or taking notes on.

To download them, open up any page of a Chapter in the Blended Teaching player in Canvas or Blackboard, and look for the PDF or Word icons. Click on either of those, and it will download them for you.

We don't provide a single download of the whole textbook, only one chapter at a time, found in each chapter.

Can't See The Download Option?

Downloadable Chapter Notes are a surprisingly contentious issue. Some instructors think they are really helpful for learning, and others think they are harmful. We allow instructors to remove them from the platform. So if you can't see them, it may be because they have been removed. Feel free to ask us through the bot, and we will let you know.
